The Istanbul Aquarium project, located in Florya on a 100 acre terrain, is one of the three biggest aquarium projects in the world, alongside the aquariums in Georgia and Baltimore(USA). The aquarium building has 2 floors and covers a total of 23.000 m2 area. It has 30.000m2 parking space; 64 tanks which reserves 6800 m3 of water in total; 6000 m2 visitor space; from Black Sea to Pacific Ocean a thematic tour space of 1.2 km long; a rain forest of 1200 m2 with sprinkling, fogging and climate simulations. Thus, the aquarium provides the chance to see more than 1500 types of 15.000 sea creatures and land dwellers. Istanbul Aquarium Florya has been welcoming guests from Turkey and abroad since 2010.
